I’m fascinated by crows and ravens, partly because they’re beautiful and partly because they’re amazingly smart. When I paint them, I usually try to capture their intelligence. This raven seems to me to have emotional intelligence as well, and even a sense of humor.
The pattern in this painting is my own design, and is based on sacred geometry.
This contemporary raven portrait was painted in watercolor and ink on 100% cotton Arches cold press watercolor paper. I'm selling it unframed, but it will need a mat and frame to protect it.
The painting measures 4.35 x 8.25 inches. The paper, including the white border, is 7.5 x 11.25 inches. less
