Verlys France large art glass bowl featuring birds (possibly geese) and Koi fish in high relief. This is a beautiful and heavy glass dish/bowl; the interior is polished and smooth while the exterior has the designs in a satinized/frosted finish. The bowl is signed/marked as is typical of the original manufacturer dating the piece to circa pre-WWII. During the war Verlys ceased production of their decorative treasures and focused on making headlamps for vehicles to assist in the war effort. It's always a joy to discover that some of these treasures have survived so many generations thanks to the efforts of their caring guardians!
Dimensions: 13.75" in Diameter & 3" high.
Condition: This piece is Pristine, with only very minor scuffs and scratches consistent with age. It is very clearly signed on the underside "Verlys." Additional photos can be provided upon request.
