The solid top is set in a floating panel structure joined by mitered tenons and mortises. A narrow waist connects the top to the set of two full size drawers before continuing onto four hoof style legs. The table is in great condition with beautiful natural patina. A unique and poignant detail is the hand-carved character for "advancement" discovered near the edge of the tabletop. This self-motivating reminder, left by the original owner who used the table as a desk during long hours of study, serves as a testament to the table's role in inspiring diligence and perseverance. Space from bottom of drawer to floor is 23". See less
