Description: This 19th century Leather Ammunition bucket has a stunning hand painted Heraldic Crest featuring a fierce Lion and a majestic … more This 19th century Leather Ammunition bucket has a stunning hand painted Heraldic Crest featuring a fierce Lion and a majestic Unicorn flanking the Coat of Arms. White, gold, blue and red are the family colors of the crest painted on the beautiful time worn leather. A substantial leather handle is held securely in place by metal fittings. A monogrammed "N" impression is just below the crest and there are more impressions on the bottom of the bucket. These buckets were used by the British Royal Navy as ammunition or fire buckets. A fire bucket is a bucket filled with water or sand which is used to prevent or extinguish fires.

Definitely a must have for the discerning collector in your life!

Possibilities abound with this handsome piece! Use it as an office wastebasket, an accent piece, a centerpiece, or insert a vase and it could hold a floral arrangement.
