Keivan Woven Arts- Antique Turkish Oushak Carpet with Medallion in Soft Red, Light Green and Brown. Rug/. Antique Oushak, Antique Turkish Rug
This lovely antique Turkish Oushak rug displays a wonderful Sub-geometric design paired with a soft red abrash body. A stretched medallion composed of paisleys and palmettes fill the central field and impose upon the surrounding border. Mirroring paisleys form the basis of the cornices which extend around the entire field with highly stylized patterns of flower blossoms. The inner and outer guards contain running patterns of geometric motifs paired with flowers. The inner border contain an alternating pattern of intertwined tendrils and stems bearing white blossoms and pomegranates.
