This hand-knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak gallery rug features a stepped diamond-shaped medallion with palmette pendants floating in the center of an abrashed terra cotta field. The medallion contains a large center blossom surrounded by blooming palmettes, vinery, buds, and small rosettes. Adorned by graceful floral vinery and additional palmettes, the corner spandrels complement the designs of the medallion and borders. Two panels at either end of the field feature a cypress meander design. Flanked by delicate carnation meander secondary borders and narrow rosette guard bands, the main border features a striking design of geometric florets, small rosettes, and tulips. Comprised of soft reds, neutral hues, and pale green accents, the color palette is both stylish and versatile.
