Antique Persian Serab Runner with Camel rug/ origin/ persian
The navy blue and camel field in this piece is decorated with multicolored strap work, lattice work and stylized Boteh and floral elements. Beautifully drawn ivory and blue borders feature stylized flower-heads. This rug is woven on a wool foundation and has a soft, pliable handle, typical of the earlier Serab rugs. The articulation of its motifs is excellent and this particular piece features beautiful color quality.
