Glazed in blue, green brown and cream colors. The tile is approximately 3/4" thick without the mortar residue. This is one of two that are available in similar condition. There are minor chips to the edges and mortar is still affixed to the back and edges. Wonderful piece of Arts & Crafts period ceramics by one of Boston's premier Art Pottery businesses. Circa 1890 - 1910. Removed from an interior installation. Partial Grueby impressed mark is visible. Ready for cleaning and mounting. The different Grueby tiles are often mounted in quartersawn oak (TIGER OAK) frames. less
