Late 19th/Early 20th century. Apparently unsigned. If you have ever worked with pastels, you know how challenging they can be. To complete a realistic portrait like this, with all of its detail, is quite an accomplishment and the sign of a true artist. Sight of the pastel measures 19" x 15" and is displayed in a later custom frame measuring 25 3/4" x 21 1/2". Under glass. The outermost part of the frame is gold with a brown molded design and a gold liner. The pastel is also matted. Very good condition.
