This piece won the Gold Medal at the 2001 exhibition of the prestigious American Watercolor Society in New York City of which the artist was a signature member. In 2003 Mary won the National Watercolor Society purchase award. In 2009, she took the Silver Medal at The American Watercolor Society, and was honored by that society once again in 2012 with the Paul Schwartz Memorial Award. less
