*Rosenthal is a German manufacturer of porcelain and other household goods owned since 2009 by the Italian group Sambonet Paderno Industrie. It was founded in 1879 in Selb, Bavaria.
Wiinblad was a world famous artist who was appointed artistic director at Rosenthal, Germany in 1960. He is considered one of the most versatile and imaginative artists of our time. The studio division of Rosenthal was developed in 1961. Long before design was in Vogue, Rosenthal had already been working with contemporary artists, designers, and architects. More than 150 artists have designed unique collections for Rosenthal.
*The Ronson lighter company started as The Art Metal Works in 1897 and was formerly based in Somerset, New Jersey as a producer of decorative products such as figurines, table lamps and various home items. It’s founder, Louis V. Aronson invented and patented the world’s first lighter called the Wonder-Lite in 1913. Zippo Manufacturing Company currently owns the related brands in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and continues to produce Ronson lighters and Ronsonol fuel. Ronson International Limited, located in Northhampton, England, owns the Ronson brand in most other territories throughout the world. less
