The Shape of the Hole on the Top Appears to be Made to Accommodate a Large Serving Ladle ? It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Wrought out of Heavy Gauge Solid Copper. It is Quite Heavy Weighing Over 8 Pounds. It Does Not Have Any Maker or Other Markings but I am Pretty Sure that it is American in Origin. Condition. It Appears to Have Been Used Extensively Over the Many Years so it has an Assortment of Dents - Dings - Bends Etc All of Which Adds to its Character. Structurally it is Strong & Sound.
