Perched at the … Read more Extraordinary one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, large (and heavy) solid wood wall mirror featuring bold chimeric forms atop the mantle. Perched at the crown of the frame are two 16-inch, winged mythological sea lions with mermaid tails. This extra large wall mirror also features ornate hand-carved scroll and floral details throughout the frame; the back of the frame is flat. The unfinished wood grain shows varying tones of brown and tan. The wood has had some conditioning over the years, which is recognized in the darker, higher points in the design along the edge. This piece of Mediterranean heraldry history is a rare-and-unique statement piece fit for a collector of old wonderful things!

The entire mirror is in good condition. Hardware is strongly secured to frame. The base of the frame has pedestal-like curved feet that are load bearing when level and leaned against a wall.
