Very heavy solid brass that has been aged and patinaed naturally from age and use, see photos for detail. The arm that holds the wood on the back is solid iron and also shows age and use from the color and patina. There is one piece of iron missing from one of the andirons that can only be seen from the back, see photo 7 and 8 and does not hinder stability or use. They are from the Brittany region of France. The top finial is of a flame and the two feet are lions paws. These andirons are very unique with fine details. Please see all photos. less
