The pillow covers are custom made from fabric that is hand-blocked using the Ajrakh method of India. The artisan uses hand-carved hardwood blocks and natural dyes. Each pillow consists of new down and feather inserts and a zipper closure for easy removal. This fabric is pre-shrunk and can be machine washed on a Delicate cycle or hand washed in cool water and PH neutral bio-degradable liquid soap. Hang to dry or tumble on low to moderate heat.
Much of the beauty and depth of Ajrakh cloth comes from the intricacy of the imprint that is left by the artisan's hand. Slight variations are to be celebrated. less
