This is an … Read more Fantastic "Rowe Pottery Works," Cambridge WI rectangular baking dish in the the Early American stoneware, salt-glazed style. This is an authentic hand-made, hand-painted, salt-glazed stoneware piece fashioned in the classic American folk pottery tradition. It is an original work of art, bearing the potter's mark stamped on the underside: "Hand Crafted Rowe Pottery Works, Cambridge WI, 1990."
The "heart" motif is beautifully painted & glaze shows the characteristic 'orange peel finish' with a classic natural, grey/beige toned base color with a cobalt brush strokes and crosshatch design.
This piece is vitreous, waterproof and functional by holding both heat and cold, it's a great cooking, storing, serving or even a planting vessel.
