Rare find! Reversible vintage Ivory flat weave Moroccan wool rug made exclusively by the women of the Beni Ourain tribe of the Middle Atlas region of Morocco. Hand knotted looped pile, called "Bnchgra" made from all-natural un-dyed wool and features a black/brown stripe design visible only from the back as these rugs were meant to be used on both sides: pile side up for colder months and strip side up for flat-weave rug in the warmer months. The color of the stripes is a very dark brown which reads as a soft black.
