A large and magnificent pair of altar candlestick table lamps by MAC Sculpture. Acquired from the estate of the iconic American oil tycoon, T. Boone Pickens.
The stunning, very fine quality, hand crafted lamps exceptionally executed in 18th century Italian Baroque taste, extensively carved, sculpted and painted, elegant light blue and decadent gilt gold, finished in distressed rustic Tuscan finish, highly stylized, richly detailed and elaborately decorated in scroll, openwork, shell, acanthus, fiolate motif, tripartite form base, signed, MAC (San Diego, California, America)
Includes optional matched hand painted tole metal opaque lampshade, elegantly softens and diffuses the light, while a gold-copper lined shade interior reflects and warms, adding a luxurious ambiance of romantic, comfortable warmth.
As of the time writing this, a similarly styled pair of scrolled acanthus leaf handled campana urns (shown in last photo) are also available.

From the estate of the late T. Boone Pickens (1928-2019). An American business magnate, billionaire, oil and gas entrepreneur, financier, and philanthropist.

The breadth of T. Boone Pickens' career is impressive. He built one of the largest independent natural gas oil companies in the United States and flourished as an entrepreneur thereafter, generating hundreds of billions of dollars in the process. Among his lengthy accolades, Time magazine has identified him one of its "100 Most Influential People", Financial World named him "CEO of the Decade" in 1989, and Oil and Gas Investor identified him as one of the "100 Most Influential People of the Petroleum Century." less
