Abstract Assemblage work with various torn and cut fabrics. The work was donated to the Assistance League of Houston in 2018. Work is signed by the artist on the back and dated. The artist titled the work as well.
Artist Biography: Jose Canepa was born in 1985 in Arequipa, Peru. He studied architecture at Saint Mary Catholic University in Arequipa, Peru in 2005. He later studied Fine Arts at the Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch, Texas. He received his Bachelors of Fines Arts from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2017.
In 2016 he had a solo exhibit at the University of Texas at Arlington called Fear. He has been featured at the Latino Cultural Century, Dallas, Texas in 2017, the Assistance Leauge of Houston Celebrates Texas Art, at the Williams Tower Gallery in Houston, Texas in 2017 and 2018, The Color of Expression, in Lancaster, Texas in 2017 and recently in 2019 at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas Texas. less
