This is very old. It was my grandfather's and I think from the 20s, maybe earlier. The outer material is … Read more This is very old. It was my grandfather's and I think from the 20s, maybe earlier. The outer material is an interesting 'corded' fabric or fine leather- I am not certain- see photo. There are 2 bronze latches that keep it shut. The beveled glass is thick and not chipped or cracked, but there is 1 fine scratch. The bezel of material outside the glass is also sightly beveled. There is some wear on the black at the corners. The inside is compartments in blue velvet. This is charming as is, but where the top connects to the bottom the material has split. This must be unique because I can't find any like it. Measures 12.5 x 3.25 x 1.5high. See less
