- This is a spectacular collection of antique prints believed to be from from The Music of the Modern World Illustrated … more This is a spectacular collection of antique prints believed to be from from The Music of the Modern World Illustrated in the Lives and Works of the Greatest Modern Musicians by Fanny Morris Smith and Anton Seidl, published by D. Appleton and Co., New York in 1895. These original color "typogravure" half-tone plates are over 120 years old. Each image is approximately 8" x 12" and mounted on stiff card stock approx. 11.5" x 15'' that states the opera singer and the specific opera in the image. While images are approximately 8” x 12” they vary slightly, with width ranging from between approx. 7” and 8” and height ranging from between approx. 11” and 12”. The card stock is approx. the same size on all images, but does vary slightly. Being sold unframed. From Carmen to Othello, these beautiful images hung together will make a striking statement. less
