This very early example, probably 18th century earlier, features a very old steel blade with heavily worn and patinated carved handle. The handle and blade are decorated with silver adornments, and the blade is further inlaid with silver floral scrolls. This Ceylonese dagger comes from the island of Sri Lanka off the coast of India.

Condition: Age related wear, large chip to the very old handle.
