- "Marseille" is an antique french occasional chair that has been completely stripped down to the bare bones and built back … more "Marseille" is an antique french occasional chair that has been completely stripped down to the bare bones and built back up again using earth friendly traditional upholstery techniques. The chair has been 8-way hand-tied with coil springs then filled with horsehair and natural cotton to create a comfy seat. The front is covered with hand painted velvet fabric by Kevin O'Brien in a beautiful light blue and brown ombre. It's finished with brush fringe on the front to create a unique, one-of-a-kind look. The fabric on the back is a complimentary burn- out hand painted velvet by Kevin O'Brien as well. The chair finish has been stripped, sanded and left with a tiny bit of white paint showing through to create a well worn patina on the original frame. less
