Chris Aston started his pottery at Elkesley, Nottinghamshire in 1965. He makes domestic wares for oven, kitchen and table, and one-off decorative pieces. He likes reds and pinks, and experiments with iron and copper underglaze designs.
His decorative pieces often have veined designs, and he has recently been employing computer graphics to develop his ideas. He uses press and extrusion techniques for slab building. Chris is an accomplished thrower and an adventurous experimenter.
Mint condition. Rare and beautiful. Japanese influences.
