- We are selling an elaborate antique 19th century French Empire style marble top mahogany table. The table can be used … more We are selling an elaborate antique 19th century French Empire style marble top mahogany table. The table can be used as a large side table. It has ornate Empire or late neoclassical style ormolu decoration on its round apron beneath the marble top. The ormolu is in the form of vegetation and ribbons as well as female masks. Above the round apron is a cream colored yellowish oval marble top with reddish brownish veining. The table has a bottom shelve with pierced brass gallery, and four lovely tapered legs with brass paw feet. Under the marble top is found a pencil mark Janne Henry? and number 673, although we cannot determine if this is a maker signature or owners' inventory record. less
