This beauty’s pattern, Cross & Olive, is from a collection that Anchor Hocking produced from 1960 to 1970. It was a popular collection/pattern but is lesser known than Anchor Hocking’s Early American Prescut (Star of David) that was produced from 1960 to 1999. It resembles EAPC with its serrated rim, weight and clarity and would definitely complement any EAPC you may have. The pattern consists of deep cuts that resemble cut glass but this is pressed glass; clear crosses, shooting stars, oblong olives and a center 18-petal flower. It measures 11” diameter from handle-to-handle; height 1½”; inner diameter 9”; weight 2 lbs. 1 oz.; crafted from brilliant clear pressed glass that mirrors the look-and-feel of EAPC. Not too small nor too large, it’s a perfect serveware shallow platter but could just as easily be used as a fabulous glam catchall piece for jewelry on a vanity or dresser top.
