A fragment of antique Peruvian textile from Pre-Columbia era, nicely displayed in a matted metal frame. Likely from Chancay culture in Central coast of Peru that thrived in the late Intermediate Period/ late Horizon, A.D. 1200-1550, the tasseled fragment may be a border of a larger shirt or poncho. It features gold and red geometrical patterns and measures 7 x 42 in. Beautifully displayed in an brass anodized aluminum frame with fabric backing. With frame, it measures 17.5 x 53.5 in.
