A rare hand mirror "Miroir face à main" crafted by French art jewelry designer Line Vautrin (1913-1997) circa 1950s-1960s. The elongated oval form was covered in Talosel Noire with a grey patina finish and an intricate and free-spirited petal shaped pattern. Small square golden glass mosaic were inlaid around the mirror and along the handle, creating a very intriguing texture. The back is largely created in striated pattern with 'LV" initiated within the talosel. A rare example of the artist's work with talosel starting in the 1950s.
For two Talosel (one with gold glass inlay) wall mirrors with the similar techniques, see page 52-3 and 90, Line Vautrin Miroirs by Patrick Mauries.
