The pliable metal is likely an alloy resembling tin and depending on the external lighting source can appear as brass or silver in tone. The cut out circle clustered pattern has a solid 1/8" band at the rim and at the base. The bottom is solid and sits on 3 small ball shaped feet that lift the item 1/4 inch from the surface on which it sits. The semi see-through outer casing of this large rustic candle holder presents as Morroccan in style and when a candle is illuminated and positioned in its interior a diffused patterned light is emitted providing a very charming ambient light.
