Description: An antique, 19th-century French St. Denis 'museum quality' porcelain urn/vase, hand painted on a yellow ground with "bleu celeste" panels … more An antique, 19th-century French St. Denis 'museum quality' porcelain urn/vase, hand painted on a yellow ground with "bleu celeste" panels surrounding a beautiful naturalistic rendering of a castle scene on one side and a raised gilt design of a griffin on the other side. Gilt top and bottom with intricate accents. Deep cobalt blue handles contrast off the yellow and gold accenting perfectly, very eye catching! Incised under-glaze mark of 'St. Denis'. From a Palm Beach estate. Prized for their intricate workmanship, a pair of 'St. Denis' vases once sold at Christies for $3,750.
