This Vintage, Mid-Century, Marked/Signed “Hand Forged Etched Engraved Solid Brass Floral Flower Design Paint Washed Overlay Footed Vase" was purchased by my neighbor in 1952 while visiting family in India. Used and displayed over the past 65+ years, she is moving to a smaller home and must downsize. Her LOSS of this VERY PRETTY piece of Home Decor can be your GAIN! With a NICE Warm Age Appropriate Patina, this Vase is in EXCELLENT Condition with NO dents, rust, bends or other damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home. Standing approximately 6 inches tall, this SHAPELY Vase has a base diameter of approximately 2 3/8th inches, a bottom diameter of approximately 2 3/4th inches and a top opening with a diameter of approximately 2 inches; the bottom is marked and signed using “hammered dot picks” and reads “India - 22 a. F. C. ”.
Having a nice shape with INTRICATELY incised etched floral decoration, the flower design is highlighted with a red, pink and green overlay enamel paint wash for a BOHEMIAN look.
