This painting was created on site, from my driveway, actually. It is my neighbor's house and tree. It is inspired by my love of Edward Hopper, of Americana. And it seems to be a series. This is the third time I've painted this scene.
Painted outside, en plein air, from the comfort of my driveway.
I am a big traditionalist when it comes to materials. This piece is painted with excellent oil paints on a linen panel, and then varnished with a matte varnish made of turpentine, damar and beeswax. With minimal care this painting will outlive us all.
This painting measures 12" (h) x 9" (w), and has been custom framed in beech wood created by fine furniture maker Jens Sehm. less
