measures 24" x 30", was created on cradled birch panel, archival gesso, the sides are painted and this piece is ready for hanging in your home.

A meditation on water, - subject is Oregon fish, a salmon, crab, some other fish I can't remember the name of...... There is a little boat, in the background is a drawing of a mother with her baby who is nursing. She has a mermaid tattoo, that I admit, is hard to see. There is also a painting of a man in the background and he kind of looks like a crab...

This series is titled Meet Your Meat: Vanitas for Smithfields. The pieces were created to be shown and sold out of a great restaurant in Ashland, OR called Smithfileds. www.smithfieldsashland.com.

Vanitas is a type of painting originating in Europe the baroque period, they are still life paintings that include reminders that life is short, you will die, so think about how you are living.
