Vintage mid century Towle sterling silver trivet, embossed atomic starburst design. Our research indicates it is the awakening pattern from 1958. Black hard plastic back and round feet. The surface has very light wear as shown, from regular use protecting the table from hot serving dishes or teapots. Original label still attached, imprinted “Towle sterling 81” on the edge.
This seems to be the largest trivet they made in this style. Larger= more silver
