This hand-painted serving bowl is inspired by a thousand year old design. We call it, Stella, Italian for star, and love the dramatic star pattern that still looks fresh today. Influenced by far away lands, design inspiration for ceramic designs like this came to Italy by way of traders.
Each serving bowl is created just as it would have been when this design originated– hand thrown on a potter’s wheel and glazed in the traditional colors that were available and used in ceramics and pottery of that time period.
