Crafted from oak in … more Spectacular 19th century French bureau plat writing table or desk featuring barley twist legs and stretcher. Crafted from oak in the grand Louis XIII style fronted by a large 27 inch storage drawer with round pulls. The case of the desk features carved floral motif designs on the corners. The top has a decorative gadrooned edge on all sides. The legs are conjoined by block feet and stretchers with a finial in the middle. Beautifully finished with rich grain patterns. Ample leg room with 24 inches from the apron to the floor. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
