The 8’x10’ Samarkand rug affords striking detail considering the scale of the piece. Comprising wool, the addition of silk to the Samarkand rug affords a glistening sheen that adds a lustrous quality setting apart the rug. Designed with primarily deep-red flowers growing atop long winding vines of green, the Samarkand floral rug features lively blooming accents of light pink, hues of periwinkle, and leaves in shades of a cream. A wide border edges along the perimeter of the Samarkand rug featuring floral blooms in red and pink, framed by complementary leaf details. An additional slim border lines the outside edge hugged by red lines that encase a green and pink floral pattern. Affording pops of color overlain on a cooler background, this piece is a calming, yet luxurious, presence within a living room or sitting area.
