For your consideration...A very attractive set of Cauldon, stoneware plates with a cream glaze and a black spear border with a finely engraved harbor scene in the center.
Made in England.
The scene depicts fishermen unloading the catch, as a woman waits to purchase fish, and others go about the daily tasks of mending nets, taking down the sails, etc. These probably date to the 1930s and are luncheon or dessert plates.
Nice for a black and white table setting.
Each plate measures 9.25" in diameter.
All are in very good condition, free of damage, discoloration, or wear with just some minor crazing.
