A wonderful antique tray-top table in the manner of Agra-Raj. The remarkable finely detailed embossed tray matched with a later, vintage rectangular stand.
Featuring a removable serving tray, born in India in the early 20th century, having unique scalloped inner and outter undulating edges, richly patinated polished brass, highly decorated with intricate figural scenes depicting the Hindu deity Ganesh and various other religious motifs, circa 1920; resting on a mid 20th century, tubular polished brass frame, rising on cylindrical legs, ending in capped feet, circa 1960.
In great shape, strong and sturdy, with beautiful, elegantly aged patina, that adds warmth, unique coloring and tones, along with vintage depth and character. Makes for a wonderful coffee table, cocktail drinks table, bar cart service, side table or nightstand, or used by itself as an interesting accent piece. less
