This is a matted French Art Deco 1931 print that came from an unbound album of interior room wall paper … Read more This is a matted French Art Deco 1931 print that came from an unbound album of interior room wall paper designs. It features the look of Modernistic home styling. This image is for bedroom décor. Note the dynamic wall paper graphics with coordinating decorative soffit designs, the headboard, night table, and sitting chair. Also note the domed coffered ceiling and the lighting. The color palette is strong; the gold and silver color tones are done in metallic inks (difficult to see in my picture scans). Metallic inks were used in lithography during the Art Deco years and were rare and specific to this period. It is signed with the artist’s initials in lower right. The image is in horizontal format, 11 x 8.75 inches in size. Comes matted in a white 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
