A fine Victorian Era sterling silver picture or photo frame. The large frame features a fluted border and a central cartouche at the top of the frame. A exceptional picture frame considering the size, quality, and condition.
English sterling silver, fully hallmarked, Lion passant for .925 silver, assay town mark for Chester, date letter Q for 1899 and maker’s mark W.N. for William Neal (established 1850) Also marked with a registration number of Rd 341072
Measurements 13” X 11” outside of frame. Inside measures 10” X 8” inches
Condition Report; Silver is in very good condition, a few tiny dimples on front of frame the sides, backing has normal age related stains. Easel is in working order and may be a replacement which is not unusual for silver frames of this age.
