It dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. The salt cellar is in good to fair as-pictured estate condition with repairs and overpaint noted to edges, the belly of the peacock, the scalloped edge of the center section, and the beaks and crops of the peacocks. Otherwise, there is some very light edge wear and fritting to the glaze and surface scratches here and there throughout and other signs of expected wear consistent with age.

The salt cellar is marked with a blue under glaze factory mark and "19" or "61".
