June 6, 1984, Asbury Park, N.J. where Bruce Springsteen started and on the day when his newest record was release he returned with the entire band to perform to the hometown crowd. It is a hot Summer night when the E Street Band begins their world tour for their newest album Born in The USA. The tour eventually played to packed stadiums. Word of mouth spread quick as it became know that the entire band would play at the world famous Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ including their newest member Nils Lofgren. The heat in the club that evening was intense, the music was even more intense. This rare image captures Bruce & the late Clarence Clemons on the tiny stage of this historic club. Each photograph sold is personally signed by Rock Photographer James Shive.
Giclee Prints: Derived from a French word, Giclee (pronounced zhee-klay) printing connotes an elevation in printmaking technology. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans and printed with archival quality inks onto various materials including canvas and, in this case, photo-base paper.
The Giclee printing process provides better color accuracy than most other means of reproduction and its archival quality ensures that prints are light fast and non-water soluble.
Archived files will not deteriorate in quality, as negatives and film are likely to do. Another tremendous advantage of Giclee printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media, giving the Artist the ability to customize prints for a specific client.
In fact, the superior quality of a Giclee print rivals traditional printing processes and is commonly found in today’s museums, art and photographic galleries and collections, including the Shive Archive. Giclee prints are perfect for matting & framing.
All prints are custom ordered and may take as long as 4 weeks for printing. All sales are final, in the event of damage to prints during shipping, all orders are insured and will be replaced with proper documentation. less
