Incredibly rare considering that the company was not known to make products such as this. This well was removed out of an old 1920s mansion in the Beverly Hills area. Hillside Pottery even the pots are impossible to find so we consider this well The holy Grail of Hillside pottery company and the fact that it is inlaid with original 4x4 Malibu tiles and all original 1920s iron, makes this a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one. It simply cannot be found anywhere else in the world at any price. Hillside was most known for various similar roadside operations of the late 1920s and 30s, crafted handsome, high quality, decorative gardenware molded in cement. Many examples were inlaid with tile mosaics to compliment craftsman and Spanish colonial aesthetics of the period. However, much remains unknown concerning the history of the company and the people who work there, the products themselves, and the process of production are better understood. Hillside operated from a yard located along an isolated stretch of highway at 11720 Ventura Blvd. in North Hollywood area of the San Fernando Valley. More recently, Hillside has been a descriptive term referring to cement or concrete wares crafted elsewhere. The well itself measures 35 inches wide by that 31” without iron less
