Our uncertainty in how exactly to classify this painting's style is precisely why we find it so exciting: two human forms appear in the foreground, others less identifiable are suggested, or perhaps we should say disintegrated into abstract swirls of color. Power and delicacy are also words we can apply to it. It's a wonderful work. There is a faint signature at the bottom left edge we have not been able to decipher or match to a known artist's.
