Very symbolic - Chinese Bronze Ruyi Sceptre with figure of a rat guarding a golden nugget in a very traditional style. These highly collectable scholars objects are beautiful to admire and have been so over the centuries. Great desk piece, unusual paperweight or ornament, even a gift for those born in the year of the rat: 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008, and 2020
