Pablo Picasso ( 1881 - 1973 ) was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, poet and playwright who spent most of his life in France. He is regarded as one of the most important and influential artists of The 20th Century. exceptionally prolific throughout the course of his long life, Picasso achieved universal renown and immense fortune for his revolutionary artistic accomplishments, and became one of the most well known figures in 20th Century Art.

The Musee National Picasso is located in the Marais district of Paris France, dedicated to the work of artist Pablo Picasso. The museum collection includes more than 5000 works of art ( paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics, prints, engravings and notebooks ) and tens of thousands of archived pieces from Picasso' personal repository, including the artist's photographic archive, personal papers, correspondence, and manuscripts. A large portion of the items were donated by Picasso's family after his death, in accord with the wishes of the artist, who lived in France from 1905 to 1973.

The rare out of print 1st edition Modern Art book measures 9" W X 11 3/4" H X 5/8" D, with 217 pages, featuring 304 color and black & white offset lithograph illustrations, an artists chronology, and compelling accompanied text by author Marie Laure Bernadac.
