Charming and beautifully made bronze Buddha with mandorla surrounding the seated figure. Serenely composed with alms bowl in lap and meditative expression. The face, chest arms, and feet are in a gilt finish. the remaining is covered in green verdigris. The back of the mandorla is finished in an image of a solar disk and radiating rays. The figure is seated on a beautifully carved lotus with multiple tips. The size is 5.75" tall and 4.75" wide, the base is 2" deep.
The condition is very good. Beautiful patina, missing an attached stand. ( note drills in underside for attaching some other plinth.) See less
