Framed original oil painting on canvas by French artist Josette Bardoux. Newer frame. Hand signed by the artist, bottom left. Canvas Size: 19-1/2" x 23-1/2". Framed Size: 26-1/4" x 30-3/4". BIO:
Bardoux was born in France in 1950 and now lives in Paris. She is a self-taught painter who has a unique color sense. Her works have a primitive feeling and emphasize a whimsical sense of humor.
In 1977 Bardoux created a half-hour movie segment of the process of creating a lithograph. This will be used as a short subject preceding movies in France and in the United States.
Miss Bardoux is a cousin of past President, Giscard d'Estaing, of France.
