A rare and most charming antique American Arts and Crafts Mission period quarter-sawn oak apothecary style small chest of drawers or desktop index card size filing cabinet by the renowned high-quality office furniture manufacturer Globe Wernicke (United States; 1899-1955)
Made in Ohio, USA, in the early 20th century, having a petite tall rectangular solid wood case featuring a unique design with the interior fitted with eighteen blue speckled creamy white hard pressboard flip-down removable drawers, each affixed with patinated brass label holders and pull rings. The drawer-fronts flip down to reveal an inventory "Memoranda" label, each signed "Manufactured by Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati, U.S.A."
